The District
As one travels around State Senate District 34, many of the most recognizable landmarks in Arkansas come into view. The State Capitol, the Little Rock Central High Visitors’ Center, the Clinton Presidential Center, Dickey-Stephens Park, the Little Rock National Airport, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion all can be found in District 34. While these structures are striking, the real beauty of District 34 is seen in the diversity of the people who live across the various neighborhoods in this large district. That diversity can be a source of strength or it can be a source of division in our community. Too often in the past, politicians have divided us for their own electoral benefits. Jay commits to be a public servant who brings people together across lines of difference to ensure that Arkansas becomes all that we want it to be—a place where educational and economic opportunities are available for all its citizens.
